New hole drilled to waste less coal! delays rescue of trapped Iranian coal miners
Alef: Mr. Kamali, the political and security vice-governor of Kerman, said "the top hole that was being drilled to rescue the trapped miners will be abandoned because it would waste too much coal and time." He said "we had to go back to drawing boards, and will start new side-drilled holes this week."
Two weeks ago, three miners were trapped in a coal mine in the Southern state of Kerman in Iran. The rescue operation has been slow, and there is not much hope for the survival of the miners.
