This July marks the middle of Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens’(PMG) series, Twilight in the Gardens, as well as the halfway point of summer. Ancient Iranians celebrated the middle of summer with Amordadgaan, a day to go out in nature and celebrate its beauty. On Friday, July 25, PMG invites the public to celebrate a beautiful midsummer evening outside in its glittering sculpture labyrinth. For this special occasion PMG is collaborating with the Drexel University Persian Student Association, Iranian Students of Temple University, and Penn Persian Society to immerse attendees in a mix of traditional and contemporary Iranian culture. During the evening attendees will enjoy drinks, nibble on light appetizers of popular dishes from Persian Café, create Iranian inspired art, and dance to modern Iranian music throughout the night.
Be sure to take advantage of our regular Twilight offerings as well: Challenge yourself with one of our scavenger hunts, or hop on a mini guided tour to learn more about the fascinating story of PMG.
Please note that for this special installation of Twilight in the Gardens is not BYOB but drinks will be available for purchase.
Attendees must present valid ID at door in order to receive complimentary drink tickets and to purchase additional tickets. Due to additional entertainment, the schedule and admission price vary from the normal Twilight in the Gardens.
